Size and Population

The highlighted area – illustrated here in administrative entities, other than nation states - covers about 427,500km2 of land on which live over 106 million people. Of that number, more than 50 million people live in the Egypt’s Nile River Delta, with the rest concentrated along the East Mediterranean coastline.
