Ethnicity and Religion

With the exclusion of Israel and Cyprus, the East Mediterranean area is largely dominated by Arabs and the Muslim religion. Israel and the Palestine Territories together, however, contain an almost equal balance of Israeli Jews (51%) and Palestinian-Arab Muslims (49%).
